Out of the ashes of our failed attempt at a new Battle of the Blogs in the defense of Heraklion in Combat Command, rises a new clash of the titans in a familiar favourite, namely, Decisive Campaigns: Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris.
It seemed appropriate to use the Operation Sea Lion scenario, a hypothetical invasion of the British Isles, because it shares the same overtones as the invasion of Crete, another Allied island in trouble.
Luckily, Britain didn’t have to fend off invading German troops on the beaches. Luckily, our air power managed to harass and hold back the Luftwaffe just enough to make Operation Sea Lion drop from the top of Hitler’s to-do list. Luckily, he turned his eye towards the Soviet Union.
In this scenario, the British luck has run out. Dad’s Army have been mobilised. Prepare to shed our blood for the English Motherland! This fight takes place on my home turf, this time it’s personal!
Holding the invasion force back, whilst the Royal Navy closes the English Channel Corridor on the German supplies is going to be key.
